The Lloyds Building In The City Of London

Description
This vibrant and colourful photograph is of the famous Richard Rogers designed Lloyds Building at Number One Lime Street, London. I have created this image to show the fantastic colour and bold architectural design used to create this building. What I really love about this image is the way we are reminded of the high flying and fast pace of life in the financial heart of the city through the movement added from the blur of car lights mixed in with the amazing lights and texture of the building.
The Lloyds Building is the centre of insurance trading for Lloyds of London and many of the other businesses it houses on its trading floors. The way all of the pipes, lifts, cables and wires have been hung on the exterior give us a building where we can see the organs and life blood keeping the work inside going and in motion. It enables the person passing on the street to imagine that this is a place of action and to have some idea of the fast pace of life inside.

Thanks Alex, this one is one of my personal favourites, it doesn't get as much attention as some of the others but I love the vast amount of colour in this building. I'm very much into modern urban landscapes but not usualy concrete structures, however the unique way the Lloyds building was built and the lights used to illuminate it at night really make it stand out and make it look visualy stunning.
