In the shadows of a niche in St. Vitus Cathedral on Castle Hill in Prague, Czech Republic are statues of two gold-robed women. Mary, carrying the yet-to-be-born Jesus, greets her elderly relative Elizabeth, who soon will give birth to the child known as John the Baptist.
