This is the second in my pastel face series. It is showing some of the many emotions that can be seen on a person’s face and in their eyes if other’s care enough about them to see what is truly going on. My wonderful wife of almost 13 years is very good at this.
On this face, we can see a variety of emotions and contributing factors to the emotions. In the right eye (viewers perspective), we see bits of anger caused by the swirls (right of face) of deep purple pain from profound loss in that person’s life. This anger comes out in red tears of frustration and anger running down the face. From the left eye, there is a trickle of depression and sadness oozing out from the effects of hurt caused by others thoughtless words and actions. Yet there is still some aspects of their life the person is happy about and finds joy in. The green streaks of nature’s beauty and the light blue of the sky combine with close meaningful relationships with real friends to provide inner joy and meaning, even purpose.
