Cool composition, Michael! I agree that removing this statue is foolish. Perhaps advocates of removal would be appeased by a cheaper solution: rename the sign Lee Cul-de-sac. :)

Michael Hoard replied:

Greetings Steve, thank you so much for viewing The Confederate Blues, it is unfortunate there is even discussion of the removal of a magnificent piece of sculpture created by an artist. Because it does not represent what New Orleans represents which celebrates its 300th anniversary in three years our Mayor wants all of them removed. All the wonderful pieces of art sculptures are protected by the National Register of Historic Places across America and should remain for future generations to view. At the rate the world is going its anyone's guess will mankind even exist in another 300 years. Thanks for your generous comments, I appreciate them. Greetigs Judie, thank you so much for viewing my gallery and The Confederate Blues In New Orleans, Louisiana it pleases me this photo appeals to you and and also saddened of the possibility of the removal of this beautiful piece of sculpture which is on the national register of Historic Sites. I am highly opposed of its removal, as I have stated publicly I can see the Statue of Liberty looking over her shoulder North, West and South saying "what is happening o America" I appreciate the comment. Its a pleasure to meet you Judie, Cheers, Michael Hoard Principal Actor, Artist and Photographer

Hi Mike, I'm KK's sister and she wanted me to see this before it is gone forever or moved to a hidden place. It is wonderful and brings back so many positive memories for me. Fantastic presentation. Judie K Kopfman

Now this is one fine artistic eye capture, Mike!! People need to see this and to get a print of this before our mayor does something regarding the placement of Lee's statue! :) kk
