The Carson Mansion is one of those places that is so stunning in appearance and grandeur that it takes awhile to sink in. What a vision the architect and original owner (Lumber Baron William Carson) had! It is considered one of the most photographed homes in America. The attributes have been emulated by many, including the clock tower at the Disneyland rail station, and as a model for the haunted house design.
If you go to Eureka, it is located in the Old Town section near the waterfront.
