My husband and I live on 5 acres filled with trees and a variety of birds. One winter we must have been the only people on the block feeding the birds on a daily basis. The birds had grown accustomed to having seed 24/7 even in the snow. My studio is next to the patio with 2 sides of large windows and skylights. My husband and I had to laugh because it seems the birds were chirping/complaining to us about the food quantity! What was really amusing to me-I actually got “Looks” from the our precious cardinals while I was in the studio painting…they were seriously intimidating and sort of funny too!! These are a series of paintings from the cardinal winter experience 2016-2017!

Misha, this makes me shiver looking at it but it is beautiful! I have a pair of resident Cardinals here but it never snows. They are my pets just like my chickens and they eat treats along with the chickens. It's a sight! Best June
