Super Sunrise At The Mouth Of The Mississippi River In Louisiana
Photograph - Photography
This dramatic photo of the sunrise was taken minutes upon rising upon returning from my journey to the Yucatan. Having traveled for years into the Gulf of Mexico aboard large exploration boats I awakened and pulled the curtains aside and took this photo through the cabin glass window. I new the boat was leaving the Gulf of Mexico and entering the channel at the mouth of the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico, as ships enter the channel, engines idle and having entered the waters of the mouth of the Mississippi on numerous voyages out into the Gulf of Mexico, there is a noticeable change in currents as you leave the waters of the Mississippi River and enter them from the Gulf. You can feel the vibrations on the ships hull. This dramatic photo was slightly enhanced to correct the density of the cabin window. There was a slight fog are haze which created this surreal image. I zoomed directly at the sun and captured the nearby trees which are along the banks of the Mississippi River. With photos of a rising sun or setting sun and the curve of the earth as you zoom into the object on the horizon it appears to be larger Example as well when the moon is the closest distance to the earth it too also appears to be closer than This photo would be ideal to any collector to brighten up any decor. This photo was taken with a Nikon 820 macro zoom, manual settings.
