I was hoping for a dramatic sunset that evening and got treated to a colorful cloudburst as the storm rolled over Mono Lake, off Highway 395 in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.
This photo took second place in the contest "Sky and/or Clouds" in Feb 2016.

thank you! we thought we were going to get very wet at the top of the Panum Crater but the storm turned north and never touched us. it was very cool.
