I captured this slice of downtown Portland life in November 1994. Pioneer Courthouse Square is a popular gathering spot in Oregon's largest city. The building with the clock tower on the right is called Jackson Tower, and originally housed the offices of the now defunct Oregon Journal newspaper.
I don't remember what the people were looking up at. My best guess is the pigeons atop the columns made some kind of commotion that turned a few heads.
