Acadia National Park is beautiful in the summer, but I actually prefer Acadia in the winter. First of all, there aren't any people and you get to virtually have the entire park to yourself! I really felt that I was the sole owner of the treasure here in Maine. This is the Jordan Stream Bridge that many people park their bikes on in the summer to catch a glimpse of Jordan Pond and the Bubble Mountains on the far side of the lake. I love the gentle trickling water as it leaves Jordan Pond, making its way to Seal Harbor just down the road. The snow resting on the well constructed bridge rests gently highlighting the intricate stone pattern of the bridge. Acadia is a magical place, but definitely much more magical in the winter with the beautiful, white snow.
