This year we decided to take a drive about 40 minutes outside of town and cut down our own Christmas tree for our grand kiddos.. A ten dollar permit from the forestry service allows you to cut down your own Christmas tree within mapped out areas of the Santa fe forest.. It was a beautiful experience, we packed a picnic lunch and made wonderful memories.. This photo here was captured about a mile from where we cut our tree down. The snow flurries were drawing me in closer and closer, I just wanted to walk in and get lost, but I knew that was not really going to happen :)
