Shoshone Falls Spring Rage
Artist
Greg Norrell
Medium

Description
Shoshone Falls is sometimes referred to as the "Niagara of the West". The waterfall is 212 feet high, which is 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls, and flowes over a rim nearly 1000 feet wide. During spring of wet years, the flow rate of the waterfall is much higher than late in the summer, due to diversion of water from the Snake River for irrigation purposes. ID=D19_8007NsR.jpg.
