Description
This masculine still life painting of rusty old oil lanterns toppled on a work bench in an autumn barn has western appeal. Once shiny Sugar Maple leaves have begun to fade and curl and frost has formed on the window panes. Perhaps these old rustic relics will become useful again. This original masculine still life painting by Hanne Lore Koehler features a fall barn window scene with three hurricane lamps, frosty window panes and fallen dried maple leaves.

This grabs my heart as I remember these lanterns from my father's shed and he got them from his father, I suppose. so many of these relics were well built and high functioning. This is a tribute to the ingenuity of our ancestors, I love the arrangement and the fact it is so skillfully painted FAV/L
