This vintage 19th century US History print features Col. Theodore Roosevelt leading the Rough Riders, one of the three regiments formed in 1898 and the only one to have witnessed action during the Spanish-American War. Also known as the United States Volunteer Cavalry, the Rough Riders were popularly referred to as ‘Roosevelt’s Rough Riders’ when he took over the command in 1898.
