This was the old signage of an Italian restaurant cottage in New Orleans, LA in which my client with his friends and family use to patronize a l o t!

The stories told while enjoying homemade pasta and roasted meats between five life-long friends still lives in my client’s heart, plus they never had to order…the chef/owner Signore Piero would cook special entrees just for them. Piero is Piero Cenni, who opened this restaurant (originally in Ponchatoula, LA) to show off the cooking of his native Emilia-Romagna, a region in northern Italy.

With his son Paolo taking over the kitchen, it has thoroughly become a family affair. The food hasn't slipped: Tagliatelle is still thin and downy, hand-rolled strozzapreti still a fine foil for local shrimp, roasted meats (particularly the rabbit with wilted kale) still juicy at the center and/or bone.
August, 2014…This weekend at Da Piero's opera singers Kevin Rouchell and Ruth Ann Chadwick! Specials include, homemade minestrone soup, our popular homemade crabmeat ravioli pasta cooked with roasted spices and tossed in a sherry wine reduction cream base sauce. Chopped Chicken Picatta - Pan fried chicken with capers, black olives in a roasted garlic mushroom cream sauce! Come join us for an evening of elegant music and extraordinary food! July, 2014…opera singer, Kevin Rouchell, at DaPiero's tonight! Evening specials include soft- shell crab with a sherry wine sauce.

Sounds delicious and entertaining too…doesn’t it??? Sadly, this restaurant has closed…so I will honor it here on Fine Art America!!!
