“Rim to Rim”- a very large acrylic landscape of the Grand Canyon was a commissioned artwork by my wine buddies who hiked the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim!!!
“Rim to Rim" was selected for publication in North Light Books' AcrylicWorks 2: Radical Breakthroughs. 116 artists were chosen for North Light Books’ second annual Best of Acrylic competition. North Light received more than 1200 submissions from artists in 30 countries. This was my first book publication…I felt very blessed and honored! To add to all of this, my artwork was featured on the inside cover jacket too…yay clap clap clap!!!

Your awards for this were very well deserved, Misha. Your friends must have been thrilled with this. I have a passion for Grand Canyon and have had for over 50 years. I love the challenge of painting large works of it. For me, the ultimate challenge for a landscape painter. I too use Acrylic....fav / like

Jerry, Your Grand Canyon pieces are absolutely beautiful and I am amazed they are in acrylic...they look ore like oils! Have you ever entered "Celebration of Art" at Grand Canyon National Park? I wanted to enter, but you had to already painted en plien air at the canyon in order to be considered. 50yrs with the canyon...what a dream!!!!
