Real snowflake: large star plate with very complex inner structure and lots of relief details. Snowflake sparkling on smooth blue - gray gradient background. Alternate version in warmer colors.

This snow crystal was captured on glass surface with simple macro setup, containing camera Canon Powershot A650is and additional lens Helios 44, used as magnifier.
8 identical photos, taken as fast series, was averaged to boost signal-to-noise ratio of this image. Lighting: smooth color gradient created with multi-color LED transit light. Photo was taken February 2018 in Moscow, Russia.
