A handsome Mallard drake seems to be posing for his portrait. His beautiful feathers are glowing in the afternoon sun filtering through the trees along Fountain Creek in Manitou Springs in Colorado on the wonderful autumn day.
The mallard is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Eurasia, and North Africa and has been introduced to New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa. Wikipedia
