Description
This is a digital artwork featuring a poem that I wrote this morning. Today was the first thunderstorm of Spring 2015. I awoke from a dream in which I was preparing my camera equipment to photograph portraits at a wedding. I opened the blinds and to my amazement the ground had turned green overnight. I watched it for a while and felt like Thoreau must have felt at Walden.
Here is the poem:
Lifegiving rain returned this morning
perfect thunder bringing dreams
filled with poetry of pictures
and celebrations to come
The grass awoke to singing green
from its silent slumber
In understanding I watched
with Thoreau’s eyes
the metamorphosis
of Spring
