Description
Located in Amarillo, Texas it is arguably the most iconic stop along the once famous route 66. Created by a group of artists know as "the Ant Farm" it features 10 Cadillacs buried with fins in the air. Those passing by are encouraged to paint graffitti, clean up the mess, and be a part of the "living art". The art has been in many movies as background and is rich in trivia - too much to write about here. It is almost to the point where the paint is probably the only thing holding up the rusted autos - visit it as soon as possible as it is bound to fall over one of these days.

Thanks Gary - taken just before Christmas and there unbelievably there was no profanity, the paint was mostly recent and the setting sun helped with the colors. I remember not having to do a whole lot to get it to this but I wanted to emphasis the southwestern pinkish hues being cast and wanting it to be more art than snapshot.
