Description
NY-NJ Post-Storm Pretentions by Regina Geoghan. Shortly after the tropical storm dumped it's massive load of wind fury and driving rain on the area, it quickly moved on to create more havoc to the North of here. Like magic, the skies turned deep blue, layers of whitening clouds briskly blew the haze away and the world looked like new again, sparkling fresh and clean. At least it did from the picture that Mother Nature painted as though to pretend the storm never happened. But under the beauty of the clearing Isaias streets were flooded, power lines and trees down, objects blown all over, transformer fires common - a big mess to clean up. Weehawken NJ Lincoln Harbor and the Lincoln Tunnel helix in the foreground, the Hudson River in the center layer and the New York Skyline in the background with the blue sky and clouds overhead.
