The contests I've entered have given me hardly any vote returns. People seem to vote based on emotion. I think critically about a piece when I vote so it doesn't matter who the artist is. There are many ways to get acquainted. I just received over 100 views in the last 4 or so hours because one of the things I do is when I like my own work a lot, I favourite it...narcissistic personality disorder:)) It's like, "Which crazy person is favouriting their own work, and doesn't even have a profile photo???"

Do people ask for votes for these types of in-house contests? I voted for a lot of paintings. The largest amount of entries I've seen since I started joining contests. Thanks for the info.

i know that some of the people i know do, but what happens is if you dont get any votes, with this many people participating, you will never get seen..when i first started here i would ask for some help, there is no arm twisting going on, a person is free to vote how they want,when they want. the problems is no one knows you are in the contest unless you tell someone...
