Description
One of the largest black bear I have seen, this year. He walked out of a cornfield, just across a canal from me, in the early morning, as I was watching a group of bears and cubs in the distance. Here in Eastern NC, we have some of the largest black bear in the country. Or, in the world, actually, since Black Bears only live in North America. I am told that this one is known as Diesel because of his size.

Thanks, Marcy! My heart was pounding out of excitement. He came out so close that I couldn't even get the full bear in the frame at first. But, as soon as he realized I was there, he went in the other direction.
