View from the southern peak of the Sierra de Oltà towards the Mediterranean coast of Altea and Benidorm. The Sierra Helada Natural Park is the eye-catcher in the landscape. The natural scene is framed by weathered limestone cliffs and a pine tree. The Sierra de Oltà in Calpe is undoubtedly one of my favourite destinations for hiking and photography on the northern Costa Blanca. I particularly like the eroded rock formations, but also the marvellous views of the blue Mediterranean.
My photographic work is inspired by long hikes on remote mountain trails in the province of Alicante in Spain. Every time I am in the Sierra de Oltà and let my gaze wander into the distance, the clocks seem to tick a little slower. The local hiking routes offer marvellous views of the touristy coast, but also of the surrounding mountains. This landscape shot is intended to bring the charm of the Costa Blanca and its enchanting mountains into your home.
