Monochrome Panorama Of Cerro La Jara In Valles Caldera National Preserve Sandoval County New Mexico
Photograph - Photograph
We visited Valles Caldera National Preserve on the last day of our New Mexico Trip. The hour drive from Nambe is a delight to all senses, as one crosses the Rio Grande and starts the ascend to Los Alamos, along deep, forested canyons, with the backdrop of the Jemez Mountains to the west. As the road passes the city on the Pajarito Plateau, it travels south hugging the side of the mountains, eventually climbing and going through deep stands of spruce and douglas firs at an altitude of 9000 ft. It finally drops into the Caldera in a series of dizzying twists and turns. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
