Mexican Honeysuckle
Artist
Judy Kennedy
Medium
Photograph - Photography
Description
Mexican Honeysuckle (Justicia spicigera) is not really honeysuckle or an ordinary flower. It grows as a bush with beautiful orange honey-suckle-like blooms in dry, hot climates, where butterflies and hummingbirds welcome its shade and its nectar. This photograph was taken on March 17, 2018 at the Boyce-Thompson Arboretum, one of Arizona’s beautiful state parks in the Sonoran Desert.
