Long Billed Curlew Bird Stroll On The Beach

Description
While in California I visited Ventura Beach to take in the ocean air and discover birds, rocks and anything else to keep in remembrance. This long-billed Curlew was walking along the shore in a bit of a diagonal strut-like stroll so I could capture the long bill and its beautiful back feathers. I love the color tones of this interesting bird.
Long Billed Curlew s (Numenius americanus) are shore birds in the Sandpiper family of birds. They can be seen along beach and ocean shores as well as marshlands around the ocean. They forage for deep burrowing prey such as crabs, shrimp and worms. When they walk, they have a proud looking march with long strides.
