ARTIST PROFILE
Kabonge George Wasswa is a Ugandan visual artist born in 1990 as a twin and raised from Naggalama-Lutengo village in Mukono district. He attended both primary and secondary levels of education where he was introduced to various artistic Disciplines. He attended higher level of education at Kyambogo University where he was awarded a bachelors degree in vocational studies art and design with education. He is a secondary school fine art teacher and started practicing as a painter in 2014. He specialized in painting where he uses the pointillism style characterized of vibrant small dots or strokes of colour. His subject matter is mostly attached to the contemporary social environment and life situations around the communities where he lives. His themes range from the traditional African music, wildlife, daily life activities and these have been presented both in semi abstract and abstract forms. I have participated in various art exhibitions in Uganda and East Africa where he has shared his artistic experiences with fellow artists and people around him. He mostly paints with acrylics and oil colours on canvas. He is a highly motivated and passionate painter who loves attaching his themes to the prevailing life situations within the community where he stays.

Description
For the young generation of children to grow up as responsible citizens of any community, they have to pass through the right means of care and protection. They have to be told what is right at an early age and not to be left alone to face the bitter world because at an early age they seem to be so fragile. Good nurturing results into production of careful and responsible citizens. Providing basic education to them helps to brighten their future hence turning them into strong pillars that support development of the society.
