This great painting was inspired by Grant Wood,"The American Gothic." This wonderful and beautiful piece is a painting of my father and stepmother. The yellow sign that my father is holding represent his farm land and the animals of the farm that he truly loved. The colors in this painting has cool and dark colors that make this piece comes alive. Grant Wood was a amazing and talented artist that had a very unique style of painting. His paintings will have you wondering and guessing when you look at his work.I also love the colors in this painting from the unique yellow tractor sign to the country style house in the background to the glaze blue sky. This paint is amazing and have a nice twist to it as well. Grant Wood is one of my favorite artist that I truly look up to as an inspirational great person. He is a one of a kind artist that really inspired me to paint this nice and wonderful piece.
