Original Pastel painting "Let me play among the stars" - A nostalgic whimsical pastel painting based on and inspired by my childhood fantasy of flying up to the stars and childhood memory of growing up in the countryside in beautiful Ireland at the base of Eagle hill, Hacketstown in South East Ireland.
My childhood dream of flying up over this laneway surrounded by farm pastures and bordered by shrubs and trees which was our playground where we recieved an education on the passing seasons, wildlife , flora and fauna. I had a fertile imagination as well as the luxury and freedom to roam this lovely landscape .
We often visited the owner of the the cottage in the background ; Will Hopkins who loved to tell us tall tales of his youth in front of his open fireplace.
