Description
In Houston, the annual Marathon is a big sporting event. The race starts at 7:00 AM in January and people flock to the streets to cheer the international and local runners on. The 2019 Houston Marathon started with clear, dry, cold (for Houston 32 deg F) weather and the viewers in West University Place mostly stayed in Bed. This is the leading pack of pacers at the 10 mile mark near Edloe St and West University Blvd.
In 2019 Albert Korir of Kenya won the men's event and Biruktayit Degafa from Ethiopia won the woman's event. In this photograph at 10 miles, Julius Logo (#51) Pacer of Kenya is leading the pack.
