Description
This is an engine exhaust, fully opened, from one of the fighter jets on the USS Lexington. I like the abstract possibilities of utilitarian objects. I boosted the heck out of this one. Metal, especially old metal, shows its character. I've taken these photos and "roughed" them up a bit. They're grainy and you can see all the pits and scars on the metal. I think this way you can really appreciate their characteristics and soul.
