A little girl happily reaches to pick a single yellow dandelion in the expanse of green grass. Dressed in pink with a wide brim hat, her face is hidden to symbolically represent any small girl lovingly picking flowers.
Do you fondly remember picking flowers as a child? Do you see yourself, your daughter or granddaughter in this little child happily picking a dandelion as if it is the most precious flower? Children remind us to see the beauty in life, even in the ordinary. This image is a beautiful reminder of the simple joy and wonder of childhood.
This innocent moment in a child's life was captured in a photograph. The special image was then treated with a unique painting effect known as pointillism to create this beautiful artwork.
Pointillism is the art form of painting with small strokes or dots so that when viewed from a distance, the dots appear to be blended. French painter, Georges-Pierre Seurat, 18591891, invented the Divisionist technique of painting known as Pointillism.
Note: the Fine Art America logo will not appear on your print of this sweet childhood image.
