Description
I came across this wonderful red barn while out bicycling in rural southern Indiana. Often barns had basketball hoops mounted to them so country kids could shoot basketball. Indiana is a basketball loving state and this barn scene reminded my of the movie Hoosiers. Hoosiers, by the way, basically means hill people. Other stories say when someone knocked on someone's door, the owner would call out who's there. That became the word Hoosier. There are many other interesting stories as to the origin of the word Hoosier. I gave this old barn a painterly look as the day I took this photo it was kind of hazy... so this look seemed appropriate.
