Historic Round Top Texas In Sepia

Description
In Round Top, the smallest town in Texas (population 81), this vintage two-story building faces the town square. As I recall, this building once served as the courthouse. It's now the Chamber of Commerce Building. Photographed with permission, though permission (I was told) was not needed.
When my kids were little, we spent every Fourth of July in Round Top. We built a float on the flat bed of a trailer and hauled the kids around as they sat on bales of hay and waved to the crowds. Some years we dressed them in vintage clothing. The town is so small, the parade went around the square two-and-a-half times, to make it worth the effort--and to give ample time for pictures. Instead of fancy cars or ambitious floats, some would simply tie some tin cans to an old jalopy and win the prize for the most creative entry.
This image, shot in March 2012 with a Nikon D80, is also available in color and black-and-white.
