Description
Gray catbirds have gray feathers, a black cap, and a rufous-brown patch under their tails. They are easily recognized by their bird call which sounds like a cat's meow. Like their mockingbird relatives, catbirds have the ability to mimic other bird songs. This gray catbird was photographed in Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada in the spring.
