The spectacular views from the lodge at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are everywhere. This one includes a bit of the lodge.

According to the lodge website, the lodge was originally built by Gilbert Stanley Underwood. The lodge overlooks the North Kaibab Trail and Bright Angel Creek as it makes it’s way to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and is at a higher altitude than the South Rim and is cooler. The forest setting around the lodge is enjoyable and welcoming as the breeze blows through the ponderosa pine trees.
