This is an original acrylic mixed media painting by Sharon Eng. The original has been sold.
The abstract is the artist's interpretation of a full moon rising over a shallow reef with the golden light cast by the moon turning the water gold. The textured corals and rocks on the sandy bottom show as texture. There are multiple layers of paint and gold leaf creating shadows and different colors in the water.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
