Description
The fork-tailed flycatcher is a type of kingbird that breeds in Central and South America. In the winter, it migrates north to the east coast of the U.S. and Canada. It is white below with a black cap, grey wings, and a very long forked tail. It resembles the scissor-tailed flycatcher, which has a shorter tail, a light gray head, and salmon colored flanks. The fork-tailed flycatcher can be found in open areas with scattered trees and bushes. Photographed in Paraiso, Panama in Central America.
