This is a digitally enhanced image of my photograph of the springtime view from the Whitesides trail in Highlands, North Carolina. Whiteside Mountain is in the Nantahala National Forest near Highlands, North Carolina. The 750 feet tall cliffs are the highest shear cliffs in the eastern United States. Geologists estimate the mountain to be more than four hundred million years old. The moderate 2-mile loop trail is popular among hikers wishing to enjoy the spectacular views from its summit at 4,930 feet.
I am an award-winning exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
