Located at the intersections of Fifth Avenue, Broadway, East 22nd Street and 23rd Street, the Flatiron building is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. Designed by Chicagoís Daniel Burnham, the flatiron building gets itís name from its shape. Built in 1902, the building was not received with completely positive reactions at the time, but has become a major landmark in New York City.
Currently, there are plans to convert the flatiron building into a hotel, but until the current leases expire, the space continues to be used as office space.
