Description
The F/V Verna Jean, a commercial fishing trawler, is tied to the dock beside the historic, dilapidated building that was once the F. Alioto Fish Company’s processing plant. The Verna Jean is in her home port on the Noyo River in Fort Bragg on California’s Mendocino Coast.
This photograph was taken on May 4, 2022, shortly before the addition of sponsons on the hull of the Verna Jean’s, which will give her more stability and the ability to carry more weight. I’m glad to have captured the image of this old trawler and the derelict fish plant on the south harbor at this moment in time.
