In the lake of Pátzcuaro an artisanal fishery is developed, that is fishermen using to sail on the lake the "cayuco" which is a wooden boat made with pine trunks excavated and driven by oars, and to carry out their work the beautiful butterfly nets (guaromútacua in purépecha, the native language of the place).
