Painting a brightly lighted hand can be quite tedious and getting the light correct can be difficult, at least for me. It’s dependent on the light directions, reflective light, the angles and positions of the fingers and wrist, the shadows, skin pigments, and other factors. This is my attempt at painting a female hand lighted primarily from the rear upper right of the painting.

Beautifully done, Gary…yes, I recently completed a painting of my hand and it was quite a challenge. Hands are difficult to portray…they are SO expressive…and the expression must be totally integral and harmonious or the painting will show the attempt at replicating vs. KNOWing it’s expression.
