Ducks Vs Aliens
I was completely unprepared for what happened at Corona Arch that night. I'm just glad I could capture the epic battle between Ducks and Aliens because if I hadn't, I'm sure no one would have ever believed me!
I enjoy making some lighter, not so serious images at times and I sure like how this one turned out. I'm especially glad I stayed out of the battle so I didn't have to choose between aliens and ducks. :-)
How I Got The Shot
Toward the end of our shooting at this location, I set up behind our students. After exposing for about 15 seconds (most of a 20 second exposure) with the camera locked on the tripod, I then released the camera and rotated it from horizontal to vertical (and then apparently back again) before the shot ended. I did this twice and then I blended the results.
