Title: Daylily With a Tint of Purple

I took this Daylily flower blossom with dew drops fine art photography shot of a beautiful bright yellow Daylily (Hemerocallis) and decided in post production to make it into a black and white and add a tint purple to the final print. I love black and white photography and the feeling it brings to a photograph. Color has it’s own beauty, especially when shooting flowers, but I have I found taking a color photograph into black and white brings out another dimension to that shot. beautiful colorful flowers with delicate soft petals have always made me feel good. The smell, texture or the softness of each flower carries it’s own beautiful message. Ninety-five percent of all of my flower floral fine art photography photographs are taken while on hikes or walks out in nature. I use the outdoor natural existing sunlight or clouds as my light source and let it bring out the beauty and charter of each flower or plant I am photographing. I take my time and listen to what each flower is telling me, each one has it’s own story I try to capture and bring to life through my photographs. I hope you enjoy my work and the message that each photo I take is trying to convey.
