Harpers Ferry is situated where nature and history meet as well as the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers.
There are several trails to hike on the Blue Ridge Mountains that offer spectacular views, and the Appalachian Trail is one of them.
The charming town of Harpers Ferry West Virginia is as scenic as its natural surroundings and has many historic buildings preserved, particularly in what has been called Lower Town. Buildings from the Civil War are also reminders of that time.
