Description
High Falls (Chateaugay, New York) is a multi-tier 120 foot cascade on the Chateaugay River, about 6 miles south of the U.S. - Canada border. As I captured this shot, cliffs surrounding the falls were in the shadows, and the sun peeking through the narrow divide where the falls descend was illuminating the mists rising from the rushing water. I love the color and texture of the dark stone, creating such a beautiful natural frame for the rushing river.
