Vivid Autumn colors spotlight this Candlewood Lake scene, located in Western Connecticut. The yellow of the trees and blue of the water vibrate to make this pastel painting come alive. Extraneous detail is eliminated to emphasize the overall atmosphere. The mixture of yellow, orange of the trees produce a golden glow. A passing storm in the sky adds to the drama of the scene.
