Description
The business end of this Cessna C-195 Businessliner holds a 300 H.P radial engine. This beauty was photographed at Delaware Coastal Airport (GED) in Georgetown, Delaware on a rainy afternoon and rendered here as a simulated charcoal drawing.
The Businessliner was one of a series of single radial engine airplane buit by Cessna Aircraft in the mid- 20th Century (1947-1954). It was the first of Cessna's aircraft to be built entirely of aluminum. It was larger than most light aircraft of the day yet smaller and easier to maintain than a twin engine plane. It could carry five people for business or pleasure up to 800 miles on flight. It is a beautiful plane to look at and fairly comfortable in which to fly - either as a passenger or the pilot.
